Artist's Inspiration
As my dog Toby and I headed to the beach for our nightly walk, I was surprised to see this big golden moon. I had never seen one like that against a medium-grey sky. Right when we got home I made this painting quickly to record the moment.
A lot of times I get really tied up in larger pieces that take a month or even two to finish. It's a kind of torture when it takes that long as so many moments like these pass you by and you don't have the energy to paint them all. I hope some day I will become faster and more prolific. It's been one of my greatest challenges.
