Shipping policy

If the shipping fee looks too expensive, please consider the following:

  • The fee includes handling (my labor), carefully packaging your artwork, which takes an entire day away from painting to do it properly, so that it arrives safely without damage. Every box has to be made custom to order. It's a lot of work, and I don't earn enough to hire help. If you're used to low shipping fees on artwork, they are probably baking it into the price.
  • If you're ordering a canvas print or original painting, try going back to the listing and choosing the "canvas rolled" shipping option if you haven't. I'll send it to you rolled up in a tube, which might lower the shipping cost.
  • Packaging materials - tape, knives, cardboard, bubble wrap, gas driving to town and back to pick things up and drop off the package, or get more materials, printing certificates of authenticity and packing slips, which means printer ink, it all adds up.
  • I'm operating this business under the Euro. If you're paying in USD, the number will be higher since the Euro is stronger.
  • Times have changed, and shipping fees around the world have gotten very expensive in the last few years.
  • Certificates for Export - original paintings require me to apply for a certificate to export them out of Greece. This means mailing in an application, and ordering a door-to-door courier service to pick it up in Athens and bring it back to me in Aegina. This costs about €20/$23 alone.

Preparing for Shipment

  • All of the paintings and prints in our shop are prepared with the utmost care for a safe journey.
  • Prints are made to order. Please allow up to 1-2 weeks for the artwork to be printed and/or for original paintings to be prepared for shipment.
  • If you’re ordering an original painting being sent outside of Greece, allow for 2-3 weeks for your painting to be prepared for customs and certification for export.

Shipping your artwork

  • We ship worldwide using Elta and sometimes DHL. You will get a tracking number when it's shipped so that you can see the shipping status. We ship original paintings with insurance.
  • For most destinations in Europe it takes 3-6 business days to arrive excluding customs delays. Shipments made outside of Europe can take 1-2 weeks.
  • Please note that you may be charged taxes by your country's customs, please check this before you purchase.
  • You artwork will arrive in safe packaging signed and shipped from Aegina, Greece

  • Please note that all prices displayed on this website are exclusive of any customs duties, taxes, and fees that may be charged upon arrival in your country. The recipient is responsible for any and all import charges, which may vary depending on the destination. We recommend checking with your local customs office for more information before placing an order. By completing your purchase, you agree to be responsible for any and all duties and taxes assessed.
