Artist's Inspiration

A serene seascape with boats under distant ancient temple lights, evoking a sense of peace and history. A vibrant sunset casts orange hues across the sky, gradually blending into the deepening night.

My grandparents spent a lot of time in Sounio and the Athens Riviera. It was one of the first places I went when I first came to Greece in 2010. I have visited there several times now for swimming and painting. There’s a small beach by the foot of the temple which this painting is composed from. It’s near to Grecotel Cape Sounio which is an extraordinarily beautiful hotel and resort.
